AU Accountants (w/Tax Australian experience)

We are looking for Accountants who will support either an Australian business’s Finance Department or support an Australian Accounting Firm. Our clients are looking for the next superstar who wants to grow alongside their business.
Qualifications:
- A graduate of any 4 years course related to Accounting or Finance (CPA license is a plus)
- With at least 1 year of solid Australian accounting experience
- With at least 1 year of solid experience using Xero Accounting software and supplementary tools like Vend, Dext (Receipt Bank), etc. Xero certification is a plus
- Solid experience with Australian Taxation (GST Review, tax returns, etc.)
- Employee work set-up will be dependent on the client’s discretion
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, Depreciation Schedules, income tax returns, STP Finalization, FBT, and TPAR for different entities (Companies/Partnerships/Sole Traders/Individuals/Trusts)
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
- Prepare ATO applications such as ABN, TFN, GST, and PAYG
- Create and maintain workflow reports for assigned clients
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation and any accounting standard
- Reconciliation of the client’s accounts
- Closely collaborate with the clients and the onshore team
