Finance - Payroll Manager
- On-site (either Central Bloc / Avenir Building) or WFH
About the Role
The Payroll Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the payroll process within VA Platinum. This includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and effective communication with employees regarding payroll matters.
The Payroll Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining payroll records, resolving payroll discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and provide insight to make sound management decisions that will lead to VA Platinum’s growth.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in HRDM / Accounting Management / Business Management
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Payroll Management
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and an Accounting Software (Xero, SAP, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
- Ability to review data and make relevant management decisions.
- Strong financial system and business administration understanding.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
- Ability to coach, develop and mentor staff members
- Ability to work independently, but also coordinate effectively as part of a team
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to in a fast-paced business
- Mature disposition in appropriately managing sensitive situations
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen eye for details.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Payroll and Payment Processing:
- Reviewing of bi-monthly payroll
- Payroll Processing and Audit
- 2316 overview and signing and other relevant items like cedula
- 13th month overview and approval
- Offboarding: Last pay review, Signing of Offboarding clearances
- Salary appraisal adjustments review for payroll processing
- Generating reports and analysis on payroll metrics, issues and other relevant payroll data
- Identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the invoicing and billing procedures
- Working alongside the Financial Controller in finding ways to reduce or maintain costs by studying financial reports and business processes.
Compliance:
- Ensuring adherence to taxation, accounting, and regulatory requirements when preparing and processing invoices and payroll.
- Compliance check – part of the expectation is for the payroll specialist to stay informed about labor laws, tax regulations, and other legal requirements related to payroll, and ensuring the organizations payroll processes are compliant with these regulations
- Developing and maintaining of financial systems and processes
People and Customer Management
- Assisting internal teams or customers with understanding the payroll processes, policies, and best practices
- Team check-in, leading of daily team huddles, resolution of team concerns
- Aiding management in financial decisions
